The municipal educational program 'Teenbizz' brings entrepreneurship to more than 730 Malaga schoolchildren

The 2025/2026 edition of the 'Teenbizz' educational program, a joint initiative of the Education Area and the municipal company Promálaga, belonging to the Innovation, Digitalization and Investment Attraction Area of ​​the Malaga City Council, is entering its final stretch.

The workshops for primary and secondary school students concluded last February with the participation of 26 schools in Malaga and 731 students. During this edition, the primary school students (384 students) created 'The Happiness Machine' to learn the basic concepts of entrepreneurship.

On the other hand, first and second-year secondary school students (347 students) have worked on projects related to 'Smart City' and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN for 2030. They have addressed topics such as poverty reduction, environmental management and protection, energy conservation, social inclusion, equality, and citizen participation, among others. In this way, they have been able to learn about and participate firsthand in an entrepreneurial experience and in improving city services.

The workshops have not only focused on the final result of the activity, but also on motivation, participation, interest in the development of the workshop, the effort of the students and collaboration in group work; all through games to emphasize the concepts.

The projects have ultimately resulted in 108 videos. The online voting process remains open from Monday, March 23rd to Thursday, April 30th, inclusive, through the 'Contest' section of the website www.teenbizz.es.

On May 12, the winning teams in each category ('The Happiness Machine' and 'Smart City') will receive diplomas and educational games to promote their creativity and personal development at the Entrepreneurial Culture Gala to be held at the Trade Fair and Congress Palace at 12:00 pm.

The winning group in the 'Happiness Machine' category will receive a visit to Sea Life + Bioparc, or a similar attraction, for their entire class, who will also attend the Entrepreneurial Culture Gala. In addition, the winning school will receive a trophy. The winning group in the 'Smart City' category will enjoy a multi-adventure activity, and their school will also receive a trophy.

Promoting entrepreneurship in schoolchildren aged 9 to 14

Promálaga's 'Teenbizz' program aims to spark an interest in entrepreneurship among schoolchildren aged 9 to 14. The workshops, organized by Promálaga, promote values ​​such as creativity, teamwork, and initiative through the creation of prototypes for innovative projects that improve society.

The following Infant and Primary Education centers participated in 'The Happiness Machine': CEIP Ciudad de Mobile, CDP Ciudad de los niños, CEIP Cupiana, CEIP Francisco de Quevedo, CEIP Intelhorce, CEIP Jábega, CEIP Julio Caro Baroja, CEIP Luis Cernuda, CEIP Manolo Garvayo, CDP Misioneras Cruzadas de la Iglesia, CEIP Neill, CEIP Pintor Revello de Toro and CEIP Salvador Rueda.
