Malaga hosts the '#GenerationFP' hackathon to promote entrepreneurship in Vocational Training students

A total of 240 students from 60 vocational training centers in the province will compete on April 20 at La Noria to launch the best business idea

30/03/2023.- Malaga hosts the next April 20 '#GenerationFP, the hackathon', the largest face-to-face contest in southern Spain on entrepreneurship for Vocational Training. Organized by Diverxia Consulting, the event has the collaboration of the , through Promálaga, a municipal company belonging to the Area of ​​Promotion of the City and Attraction of Investments, and through the Education Areatogether with Provincial Council of Malaga through La NoriaAnd with CaixaBank Dualizes. It will be held at the facilities of La Noria Málaga (Avenida del Arroyo de los Ángeles, 50).

The '#GenerationFP' hackathon will bring together a total of 240 students belonging to 60 Vocational Training centers in the province of Malaga thus becoming the largest face-to-face contest in southern Spain on entrepreneurship for FP.

For more than 11 hours, students will face the challenge of launch a business idea. The best business project will have a first prize of 1.000 euros. There will also be a prize of 500 euros for the second winning team and two prizes of 250 euros each for the two third places.

This event is organized by Diverxia Consulting, a company that promotes '#GenerationFP', which has the collaboration of Promálaga and the Education area. This entrepreneurship and employability program It has just concluded its third edition, from which a total of four entrepreneurial projects have emerged. Your goal is provide Vocational Training students with the necessary skills to start up a business idea through workshops, group work sessions and individual mentoring with the mentors.

SOCIAL INNOVATION AND IMPACT ECONOMY

The hackathon will have a challenge focused on Social Innovation and Impact Economy that will not be revealed until the beginning of the event so that all teams participate on an equal footing.

Initially it will be divided into 4 conferences of 15 teams, where the idea, planning, product, marketing and finance to end with a 2-minute pitch before the jury. The 4 winning teams of each conference will go on to the 'Final Four' where in a new pitch before another jury they will fight for the first prize

Throughout the event, teams will receive training pills for each stage and will be accompanied by mentors that will solve the doubts. In parallel, the teachers of the centers will be able to participate in round tables where topics and good practices related to innovation in the classroom and entrepreneurship will be discussed.
