Encuéntrame en el Barrio subsidies

1. OBJECT

Line 1: Reopening of closed premises in Malaga neighborhoods.

The start-up of a commercial business in premises located on the ground floor and within the municipality of Malaga. The premises must have direct access from the street, have an exterior façade and be closed and inactive at the time of application. In accordance with Decree 155/2018 of 31 July, which encompasses the regulations on Public Establishments in Andalusia, the premises must be public, fixed, closed, covered and independent.

Line 2: Support 'Highway open for works'

The purpose of this line is to stimulate the maintenance of commercial activity and businesses open in the affected area, mitigating the effects that the decrease in income may have had on the merchants and hoteliers affected by the renovation works in the area of ​​Carretería. Those applicants who have an establishment in any of the following streets or sections of streets may benefit from this aid:

  • Corridor Sta. Isabel, from the intersection with Calle Cisneros to the beginning of Calle Carretería.
  • Carretería Street, in its entirety.
  • Puerta Nueva Street, in its entirety.
  • Calle García Briz, in its entirety.
  • Postigo de Arance Street, in its entirety.
  • Puerta de Antequera Street, in its entirety.
  • Biedmas Street, in its entirety.
  • Andrés Pérez Street, from the intersection with Muro de las Catalinas to Calle Carretería.
  • Gigantes Street, in its entirety.
  • Molinillo del Aceite Street, in its entirety.
  • Calle Nosquera, from the intersection with Muro San Julián to Calle Carretería.
  • Plaza de San Francisco, in its entirety.
  • Calle Tejón y Rodríguez, from the intersection of Muro San Julián to Calle Carretería.
  • Ollerías Street, from the intersection with Eduardo Ocón Street to Carretería Street.
  • Plaza San Pedro Alcántara, in its entirety.
  • Calle Dos Aceras, from the intersection with Calle Gaona to Calle Carretería.

The premises must have direct access from any of the streets or street sections referred to, counting for this with an exterior façade. The premises must be viable for urban use and comply with the different regulations (accessibility, fire-fighting, etc.) having a valid opening license or responsible declaration.

2. TYPES OF APPLICANT

Natural persons: Individual entrepreneurs, limited liability entrepreneurs and civil societies.

Legal entities: Sociedades Limitadas, Sociedades Limitadas Nueva Empresa, Sociedades Anónimas, Sociedades Laborales, Sociedades Cooperativas de Trabajo para el impulso empresarial.

3. REQUIREMENTS

Line 1: Reopening of closed premises in Malaga neighborhoods

Both natural and legal persons may be beneficiaries of line 1 of subsidies, provided they meet all the following requirements:

  1.  They must be considered SMEs, in accordance with Annex I of Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of the European Commission.
  2.  They are going to start a commercial activity as owners in premises that meet the requirements set out in the second section of this call. To this end, proof must be provided that the responsible declaration of activity or the opening licence is in the name of the subsidy applicant.
  3. The company must have started the activity and be registered in the Tax on Economic Activities (IAE) with the Tax Office and Social Security.
  4. The business activity must continue to be active for at least 12 months from the opening date.
  5. The business project must be technically and economically viable.

Line 2: Support 'Highway open for works'

Both natural and legal persons may be beneficiaries of line 2 of subsidies, provided they meet all the following requirements:

  1. That, both as a legal person and as a self-employed person, they are considered SMEs, in accordance with Annex I of Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014, of the European Commission.
  2. That they operate as owners a commercial activity in a premises that is located in some of the locations included in the second section of this call. For this, it must be justified that the declaration responsible for the activity or the opening license is in the name of the applicant for the subsidy.
  3. That they have an opening license or responsible declaration, as appropriate, in force and that the commercial activity is open and operating.

4. AMOUNT

Line 1: Reopening of closed premises in Malaga neighborhoods

The maximum amount of the subsidy is  $6.000.

The maximum subsidy percentage is 50% of the eligible expenditure.

Line 2: Support 'Highway open for works'

The single amount of subsidy is 500 euros per establishment.

5. ITEMS ELIGIBLE FOR SUBSIDIES

Eligible costs shall be the expenses derived from having the premises available for use (lease, purchase, incubation, etc.).

6. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION

  • Form and place of submission Telematics in the electronic headquarters of the Malaga City Council (malaga.eu).
  • Deadline for submission: The call will remain open until the entire amount thereof has been committed or until December 31, 2022, the maximum period to resolve the applications submitted under the call.
