Expected severance payments in the event of termination of office

Promálaga’s management, like the rest of the managers of municipal companies, are subject to the regime established in Law 3/2012, of 6 July, on urgent measures for the reform of the labour market, published in the Official State Gazette (B.O.E.) of 7 July 2012, which establishes that the compensation for dismissal by the employer “may not exceed seven days per year of service of the annual remuneration in cash, with a maximum of six monthly payments.”

Promálaga’s organisational structure follows this hierarchy: Board of Directors, Presidency, Vice-Presidency and Management.

Features

Promálaga is dedicated to promoting the economic and business development of Malaga, carrying out iconic projects for the city, as well as promoting the creation of companies.

Málaga Emprende forms part of Promálaga, which advises entrepreneurs on subsidies and grants, legal forms, location, business plans, R&D and innovation. It also manages the Municipal Network of Incubators, which is the main instrument for promoting economic activity, the creation and consolidation of companies and support for entrepreneurs, through the various programmes and services it offers.

Promálaga also has an Investment Attraction Office, which aims to attract productive investment for the city, diversify Malaga’s economy, support companies that seek financing and international visibility, and provide assistance and advice to companies that decide to set up in the city.

Junta General

The General Meeting is constituted by the Plenary Corporation of Malaga City Council when it is expressly convened as such and with the attributions and powers determined by law.

Collective bargaining

Promálaga came to an agreement between the company and the workers’ representatives to sign up to the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Malaga City Council staff, published in the BOPMA on 14 April 2014, plus all its subsequent agreements. This agreement came into force on 01 January 2020 and will remain in force as long as it is not renounced by any of the parties.
